Paradise Prince
Stuart Menfield was awarded first prize in so many contests of fine arts since he was ten years old that he has won the status as a most talented young artist and enjoys fame as a prince among creators of modern art. His cherished dream since childhood has been to become an animator and to produce a TV animated cartoon series, Paradise Prince, which he had been working on since he was a child. He decides to start a new career in order to make his dream come true; leaving for Orange County near Los Angeles. He starts his new life with the hope of achieving his ambition in a county where he feels thrilled by its open and sunny disposition.
Alas, he has a hard life at the bottom of the ladder working for an animation production company. He meets Catherine White, an art school student working part-time at the production company. Her dream is to become a full-fledged professional painter who can use her own discretion in creating masterpieces. Catherine and Stuart, sincere in their efforts to materialize their dreams, find each other precious and feel attracted to each other.
Stuart's aunt and her husband, who together have been managing Stuart's art business, and the art producer Anthony Black search for Stuart with the hope of bringing him back to the world of fine arts.
One day Ralph Brown appears in the office of the animation production company. He is the son and heir of a wealthy farmer and said to be an animation geek. Ralph tries to get familiar with Stuart, who is unsure if Ralph will turn out to be a friend or foe.
Stuart wins a house competition and is given an opportunity to create his own piece of work. While he is working hard on his animation project with his colleagues, Anthony and Stuart's aunt, who have at last found Stuart, plot to hinder Stuart's dream from coming true.
Stuart wonders if his pursuit of his dream is so harmful to the people he knows. He asks himself the very meaning of art and one's dream. Can people really understand the message of Stuart who believes in dreams?
