Angelic Lie
The story centers on Azazel, an angel who is the biggest liar in Heaven. His insatiable curiosity about humans, who are full of lies, leads him to touch the heavenly book that records all the deeds of humans on Earth. This act incurs the wrath of God. Azazel is stripped of his angelic title and all his powers, and then he is cast down to the human world.
Azazel lands on the island of Lazuli in a beautiful sea, where a ceremony is underway to celebrate the completion of a resort called “Empireo,” owned by the jewelry mogul Federico. Azazel tells the panicked people that he is an angel who has fallen from Heaven, but his claims are so unbelievable that they all dismiss him as a liar. Worse yet, he is suspected of being the Angel Thief, a notorious figure rumored to be after the legendary treasure, the Ring of Solomon, which is the centerpiece of Empireo. Consequently, Azazel is taken into custody.
After enduring an interrogation, Azazel meets a woman named Elena in a seedy bar. Learning that Elena is the real Angel Thief, Azazel proposes that they work together to steal the ring. He believes the ring, which is said to have the power to control any angel and demon, could help him return to Heaven. Although Elena is initially taken aback by Azazel’s seemingly absurd story, she agrees to cooperate in the name of the Angel Thief. Meanwhile, a demon named Flauros lurks behind the ring, planning to use the greedy Federico to dominate the demon world. Federico, too, has allied himself with Flauros to fulfill his own ambitions, despite knowing Flauros is a demon.
Soon, things turn into a web of deceit involving humans, angels, and demons over the Ring of Solomon. Can Azazel regain his powers and return to Heaven?
