Has the Takarazuka done "The Count of Monte Cristo"? Posted by MoselleGreen on Tue 09 of May, 2006 03:43 GMT-0000 And if so, where can I get a tape of it? (I happened to think of it because tonight I'm watching Gankutsuou, a really neat anime based on that novel.) ~Moggy

Posted by MoselleGreen on Tue 16 of May, 2006 16:43 GMT-0000 "Gee, should I send my resume to them?" Hey, why not? Incidentally, there's even an otokoyaku of sorts in the novel! The character Eugenie doesn't want the arranged marriage her family has set up for her, so right before the wedding is supposed to happen, she and her tutor run away together. Ah, female tutor. The two of them are very close and often in the novel she had complimented her tutor's beauty. *ahem* Now that they've decided to run away, Eugenie decides things will be easier for them if she dons male attire and passes herself off as a man, so she does! The overall story was great, but that little subplot was a nice bonux for me. :-) ~Moggy

", I think Edmond (THe Count of Monte Cristo) is that kind of role. Plus I am also thinking a novel I have worked on for 4 years..........Gee, should I send my resume to them?

I don't think I've ever heard of them doing this show, but that doesn't mean they haven't done it... just means it might be an older show or they renamed it to something else that I don't recognize. I'd like to know, myself, because it's a really good story... ~Merry
