Hit Me Anyone One More Time
“Hit Me Anyone One More Time,” a film written and directed by Koki Mitani, was released in 2019 and became a major hit. This political comedy, now adapted as a Takarazuka Revue musical, depicts the chaos that ensues after Keisuke Kuroda, a prime minister with the lowest political approval rating in history, loses his memory.
Prime Minister Kuroda, dubbed the worst prime minister in history, suffers from amnesia after being struck in the head by a rock thrown at him. He remembers his childhood, but has completely lost all memories from his time as a politician, even forgetting the face of his wife, Satoko. Unprecedented... Faced with the prime minister's memory loss, his secretaries, led by Isaka, treat the situation as top secret and push Kuroda to continue carrying out his official duties. Meanwhile, Kuroda is stunned to learn of his apparent past misdeeds, including infidelity, corruption, and verbal abuse. Intent on straightening up and sincerely engaging in politics for the sake of the nation, Kuroda chaos ensues once again at the prime minister's office due to a visit by the President of the United States.
