You were there on Saturday for shonichi? Did you catch irimachi in the morning or demachi after the show? Brr, it certainly was a windy weekend. Neither really alhtough I saw the fans there for irimachi from S/bucks - but you are right about the wind - freezing!

Great to see historical drama covered. I've really enjoyed it too. I reread Genji Monogatari over the summer, so I think that helped my enjoyment by cutting back a bit on the confusion. I certainly enjoy it a lot more than the other recent Genji adaptions by Takarazuka — I think there's something in what the director said about the love stories in the Uji chapters being very timeless and human. They're easier to relate to in some ways, I think, than a lot of Genji's affairs. Actually, I really liked Oono's take on the story in general, especially adding in political ambitions and such.

I went into it expecting not to like Yume no Ukihashi but I really enjoyed it. It's a bit difficult to understand the first (or second or more) time around, but it's absolutely beautiful no matter how you look at it. The staging was incredible and I never got bored of it, as many times as I saw it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED Apasionado!! (And not just for the scenes with otokoyaku in "drag" or because the star whom I support has a big solo). I am a big tsukigumi fan in general and I felt it really played to the troupe's strengths..... and reminded me a lot of the older tsukigumi shows that I watched as I was just starting out as a fan. Can't wait to see it again!
