WELCOME BACK -- PLEASE READ THIS
That said... TakaWiki is back.
1. Your existing wiki logins should work, assuming you can remember your passwords without your browsers to tell you. ;)
2. Your wiki bookmarks may continue to point to pages on takarazuka-revue.net; but the lists will be visible, so you won't miss anything when you delete them and create new bookmarks on takarazuka-revue.info.
3. When you create a new page, you will no longer be automatically notified of edits to that page. If you want to monitor the page in question, or any other page, click the tiny little eye icon at the top.
4. We've lost between three and four days of work (and a few other odd bits here and there). If you regular contributors can remember what you were doing shortly before the crash, we'd be much obliged if you'd re-create what you can.
5. For the rest of you, we have broken links. A lot of broken links. The theory is that this is a bug resulting from slotting a database created under an older version of the wiki software into a newer version.
The bad news is that they have to be fixed by hand. The good news is that it's quite simple, and, this being a wiki, we have plenty of hands to do the fixing. <3 Please, please give whatever time you can to helping us scout for and fix these bugs, in order that the wiki might more speedily be returned to its former glory!
BROKEN TEXT LINKS IN TABLES
i. Notice the position of the link in the table, because it won't look broken in the source code. (Of course, if they're all broken, that's easier.)
ii. Click the little "Edit" button at the top of the page; it's a pen and paper.
iii. Scroll down to find the link, and put a space after the closing double parentheses.
iv. Save the page.
v. Do not ask Lucia why this works, for she does not know.
BROKEN PICTURE LINKS
i. Click the little "Edit" button at the top of the page; it's a pen and paper.
ii. Looking at the picture links, replace the text "picture file" with "img src" (minus the quotation marks).
iii. Replace any spaces there may be in the filenames with "%20" (minus the quotation marks).
iv. Save the page.
6. A few quick commandments:
DO NOT upload any new images. As it is, in order to give us a few spare megabytes in which to create new pages, I had to delete a few of the larger images and close the Image Galleries entirely. I'll post an announcement when and if I'm able to upgrade my hosting account to give us more space to play with.
DO NOT click on the red question marks next to broken links, which normally indicate an opportunity to make a new page but at the moment usually indicate an opportunity to over-write a page that already exists. In fact, just pretend they're not there at all.
DO post in this thread about anything else that seems wrong.
DO have fun. :)
Cross-posted here, to takawiki_news and takarazuka on LJ, and to the ML — and please feel free to pass it on even further if you think I've missed anybody who'd like to know.
