The main character is a German jazz pianist who loves jazz, which was banned as decadent music under the Nazi administration, and fought for his life to protect a Jewish girl. A musical work drawn on top of famous jazz songs.
Berlin during World War II. In the cabaret "Level", which once made a name for itself throughout Europe with live jazz music, jazz pianist Lucas continued to protect the business he inherited from his father. At one point, Lucas's fate begins to move when he whimsically hides a Jewish girl, Renate, who has fled to the cabaret. Rebelling against the distorted situation of his homeland where even jazz performances are prohibited, he suddenly decided to leave for a country where he could live freely with Renate. Having obtained an ID card from a counterfeiter, Lucas and Renate travel to Paris, where fellow musicians gather, and continue on to Canada, where her grandfather lives, despite being chased by Ensign Sommer, a friend who once studied at the same conservatory. What awaits them ...
