Understanding Sena Jun (Maybe!?)
瀬奈じゅんが分かるかも!?
Translated by Bunretsu
(Note: Bolded words are bold in the original article.)
Sena Jun: My relationship with you might change, depending on your answers, so please be careful how you respond. Just kidding! (laughs). I'm really looking forward to your responses!! (laughs)
Oozora Yuuhi's Responses
I have seen Asako behave like this:
When she sees a cute musumeyaku, Asako's smile reaches her eyes and she keeps saying, 'Cute, isn't she~!' (laughs). In moments like this, even that Sena Jun who is so energetic on stage becomes just another dirty old man. (laughs)
This makes Asako awesome:
Her thought processes are incredibly fast. I'm a slow-paced person, so I always think that's awesome.
Asako calls me:
Yoh-chan.
If I were to perform with Asako (as my partner):
The first time I saw Asako play a female role was Scarlett in Gone With the Wind. She gave a really good performance, so I would like us to play Scarlett and Butler together. And of course it should include the Night and Day finale number (laughs).
This is what I like about Asako:
I like Asako with bangs, like the ones she had when she played young Elisabeth (laughs). Also, I really like the adorable Asako who, knowing that I liked her with bangs, would come up to me with that hairstyle and ask 'Am I cute?' (laughs)
Describe Asako in one word or phrase:
A little devil. (laughs) She herself says she's like Peter Pan or something?so just add a bit of evilness to that (laughs).
I would make Asako my...:
Neighbor when we're old. We'd drink tea and talk about the good old days (laughs). I'd like for us to regale each other with the heroic tales of our youth. (laughs)
A message for Asako:
When we first met, I thought, 'I definitely have a connection with this person' and lately I keep thinking that my impression back then was correct. I also value the satisfaction that comes from creating a performance together with you, Asako. So, I hope we keep working well together!
Kiriya Hiromu's Responses
I have seen Asako behave like this:
One time, Mai-chan (Isshiki Ruka) went to offer Asako some Japanese sweets. I watched Asako respond with very energetic ‘Yeah!’s to Mai-chan’s offer (laughs). It was like: ‘Asako, would you like one?’ ‘YEAH!!’, ‘How about two?’ ‘YEAH!!’ (laughs). It was very cute. (laughs)
This makes Asako awesome:
She prepares and cleans up quickly. It seems like her dressing table is alwaaaaays really neat.
Asako calls me:
Hiromu♥
If I were to perform with Asako (as my partner):
I would like to see her play a strong, manly role, so I would have her play Rhett Butler. Scarlett would not be played by Ayano Kanami (laughs), but by myself (laughs). I like that ‘nutcracker’ scene where Rhett is overcome with jealousy, so just seeing Asako playing that part would be nice (laughs).
This is what I like about Asako:
I like all of her (laughs), but something that really got to me recently was in Higher Than the Sky of Paris when she expresses her delight in deceiving my character, Gustave, jumping up and down. It was very mischievous (laughs).
Describe Asako in one word or phrase:
Hot and cute!
I would make Asako my...:
Son (laughs). I think Asako has the style of a Johnny’s idol, so if she were my son, I would make her join Johnny’s. I could live in ease and luxurious comfort then (laughs).
A message for Asako:
Please continue to wrap me up in your great love♥
Ryouga Haruhi's Responses
I have seen Asako behave like this:
Whenever she talks about animals in the dressing room, like when she discusses Kiriya's dog Finch, her voice gets about two octaves higher and she has a very motherly look on her face (laughs).
This makes Asako awesome:
She is truly warm and kind... Even though she has it the hardest out of any of us, she keeps an eye on each and every girl in the troupe. If someone is taping themselves up or something, she notices right away and asks if everything is alright... I respect her greatly, on stage and off.
Asako calls me:
Haruhi. Sometimes she also calls me by my real first name (laughs).
If I were to perform with Asako (as my partner):
I get the female role! Or that's what I thought at first, but a really womanly role... I think that would not work for me (laughs). So as a compromise, we should do Rose of Versailles, where I will play a manly woman, Oscar, and Asako can play Andre. Asako's angsty expressions are really wonderful, so I would like to see them up-close in the Tonight, All Night scene (laughs).
This is what I like about Asako:
I am repeating myself, but I like her angsty expressions when she is performing an angsty scene (laughs). I cannot get enough (laughs) .
Describe Asako in one word or phrase:
Moonlight. Of course I mean she is the light of Moon Troupe, but it seems like whenever she appears, even if it's in total darkness, everything is suddenly filled with light.
I would make Asako my...:
Owner, with me as the pet (laughs). I think she'd really spoil me, kindly asking me things like ‘Did you eat your meal?’ (laughs). I once actually asked her to make me her pet, but she refused, saying, ‘You're big so you'd probably just get in the way. No. (laughs).
A message for Asako:
I like you (laughs). I will try my best to be of use to you.
Kiryuu Sonoka's Responses
I have seen Asako behave like this:
When she was looking at my makeup for a traditional Japanese-style performance, she drew two eyebrows on my forehead on one side only, above the eyebrow I had already drawn. When she looked at my triple brows, she laughed (laughs).
This makes Asako awesome:
The way she uses her eyes. Her gaze is intense. I admire that. But it's not just her gaze. Even in the way she wears her clothes, she has that extra something that makes her good at showing off the charms of an otokoyaku. She then lovingly teaches those things to the underclassmen, which makes her wonderful.
Asako calls me:
Sonoka.
If I were to perform with Asako (as my partner):
She would play a capable, older career woman, while I would be a slightly selfish, freewheeling boy. That sounds nice (laughs). Something like Kimi wa Petto. I would like have her take care of me (laughs).
This is what I like about Asako:
I like her when she is making mischief with a child-like expression on her face (laughs). She is very lively (laughs) then and shines in a different way than she does on stage (laughs).
Describe Asako in one word or phrase:
God!! Because she has a lot of things that are beyond me, that I must respect.
I would make Asako my...:
Owner, with me as the pet (laughs), because if I started to go off in the wrong direction, she would tug on my leash and guide me towards the proper path.
A message for Asako:
I will do my best to approach you even a little more! I will work for the sake of Moon Troupe, supporting you with my entire body and soul! (laughs)
Aoki Izumi's Responses
I have seen Asako behave like this:
In the middle of show, she will do all sorts of funny things on the wings of the stage in an attempt to make us feel better (laughs). One time she put on a yellow helmet, took a flashlight in her hand, and guided us to the wings of the stage (laughs).
This makes Asako awesome:
There are too many awesome things about her... If I had to pick one, I would say it's how she teaches us the tricks to making an otokoyaku look better. If we try doing what she says, we all change dramatically. The fact that she can do that shows what a great sense of aesthetics she has herself.
Asako calls me:
Morizoh. I started being called that around the time of the World Expo in Aichi in 2005 (laughs).
If I were to perform with Asako (as my partner):
I like her intense dances, particularly her tangos, so I would set the story in South America with Asako as a mafia man and me as a strong-willed woman. It would be a story with a seemingly strategic, confrontational sort of dance (laughs). At first glance, the two characters appear to be repelling each other, but really, they're attracted to each other (laughs).
This is what I like about Asako:
I like her refreshing smile, too, but I especially like that ‘Brows Are Furrowed!’ look of suffering that she gets. There's something about it that draws you in (laughs).
Describe Asako in one word or phrase:
Studly!!
I would make Asako my...:
Big brother. He would help me, guide me, be bright, be fun, be interesting (laughs). Those are my reasons (laughs).
A message for Asako:
You are always improving. I hope I can follow your example and improve myself. I will do my best to follow you!!
