The private detective Lennard is hired by the well-to-do parents of Linda to find their daughter. He investigates the club she works at, the Excellence Model Club. However, the club's owner, Brian, puts pressure on Lennard through the police to stop his investigations, and the girl turns up murdered.

Brian is a well-known person in the city, and he uses his money to influence the city officials and the police.

Natalie seems just like a young wife, but after she walks into Lennard's office carrying 50,000 dollars we enter the main story. She wants to give the money to a UCLA student named Steve Garret. And then Brian's goons rush in, knocking down Lennard and kidnapping Natalie. By chance or on purpose, the woman leaves behind a volume of poetry. There is a passage underlined in it, which is where the name of the show originates. "To walk / A little more / My pain! / A little more"
