Translation:
On April 7th (Tuesday), the hatsubutaisei making up the 95th class, who will be involved in Cosmos Troupe's Rain Falling on Roses / Amour, It's... for their hatsubutai came to display the line dance in the rehearsal room.
The scenes on display in the rehearsal room were 18~19 "Rockette A/B" of part 6 of Amour, It's.... The hatsubutaisei danced to a song titled "Hatsubutaisei Rockette", overflowing with passion as if it were a true performance, and displayed the results of their rehearsals.
The playwright Okada Keiji turned to the journalists and explained the scenes. "For these hatsubutaisei scenes we are using four piecs by Mozart. It is longer than the usual rockette and difficult, but the 95th class are giving their all. The costume design has a purity typical of a hatsubutai, with red and white to give a feeling of sincere passion."
The head choreographer Miori Yumino also expressed herself. "In this rockette 5 doors open. This is because this is the 95th anniversary of the Takarazuka Revue, with five years to go until its 100th, so we put in each door to represent each of those years. I would be happy if we can convey to everyone that this year is the turning point, and from now on we will be facing that 100th anniversary with hopes and working hard."
After the display we also spoke with hatsubutai representatives Rei Makoto, Hiroka Yuu, Minami Maito, and Misaki Rion.
Rei Makoto:
"I was really nervous before we started, but afterward I looked at the faces of the upperclassmen and was reassured. Right now I'm bursting with emotion."
Hiroka Yuu:
"The applause of the upperclassmen made me so happy, they're so kind, and I thought: I'm so happy to be able to dance for everyone."
Minami Maito:
"I was really nervous before we started, to dance for the first time in front of the upperclassmen, but as we breathed all together while dancing, with the facial expressions we always wear when dancing, I think everyone enjoyed themselves and gave it their best."
Misaki Rion:
Like the other three, I was really nervous beforehand, but the upperclassmen all looked out for us with such warmth, and I thought that I also had to try hard, and I gave it my all, earnestly."
