08/15/2020 PERFORMANCE NEWS: Update on Haikara-san: After the PCR tests earlier this month, a total of 12 people had tested positive (8 actresses and 4 staff), but later another actress who had tested positive started feeling unwell at home was retested, and also tested positive. The company confirms that all cases are mild. They have decided to extend the cancellation of the run through the end of August. The shinjin kouen on August 4th is confirmed as completely cancelled, and won't be rescheduled. A decision on the September performances will be forthcoming (Official Site).
08/14/2020 PERFORMANCE NEWS: Due to the positive test mentioned in the announcement on the 8th, the company has decided to postpone the Snow Troupe production of Fiery Bolero / Music Revolution!. An alternative performance schedule is being considered and will be announced in the future (Official Site).
08/08/2020 PERFORMANCE NEWS: One asymptomatic person involved in the Snow Troupe production of Fiery Bolero / Music Revolution! has tested positive for the virus. The production is in rehearsals right now, and was scheduled to open in the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka on the 17th. Ticket sales that were scheduled to happen today have been postponed. 08/06/2020 PERFORMANCE NEWS: Some people (not clear if one or more) involved in the Star Troupe Tokyo Theater production of Valley of Xuanyao / Ray were tested for the virus and the test(s) came back positive today. Shows starting tomorrow, the 7th, will be cancelled. More details on the closure to be released tomorrow (Official Site).
08/05/2020 ACTRESS NEWS: Update: According to various news sources, including Yahoo! and Chunichi, there were 3 Flower Troupe actresses who tested positive, and one staff member.
08/04/2020 PERFORMANCE NEWS: Update on Haikara-san: Temperature checks are an automatic part of every work day at the theater, and one of the people concerned with the performance had an abnormal temperature. Since it was caught in this routine screening, the person concerned was tested for the virus, and the test came back positive today. They have a mild to asymptomatic infection, and were not in direct contact with the audience. The show will be closed until the 16th while they run contact tracing and quarantine (Official Site).
08/02/2020 PERFORMANCE NEWS: The two Flower Troupe Grand Theater performances of Haikara-san on this day were abruptly cancelled due to one of the people involved in the production having a temperature. Later, they announced that the performances on the 3rd and 4th would also be canceled, including the shinjin kouen performance on the 4th. Once Upon a Time in America will hold its two final performances in the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater on March 22nd. The live movie theater broadcasts are cancelled, but it will be broadcast on Sky Stage.
