Wandering Youth
A tale of Peer Gynt, a young man from an affluent farming family in Norway who dreams of sailing the seven seas, and finally leaves his home village to cross over to London.
However, while traveling Peer falls in with a bad lot, and soon finds himself wrapped up in their misadventures. His fiancee Solveig follows him to London because of his mother Åse's worry, but Peer brushes aside his mother's worries and runs off to Marseilles with Ingrid, his friend Rene's fiancee.
Left behind, Solveig and Rene experience various sorrows and worries as they follow them to Marseilles.
In Marseilles, Peer meets Anitra, an African girl of mixed parentage, and due to her sweet temptation he falls in with a trader intending to buy an African diamond, who needs to put up 50,000 francs to purchase it. Thinking it's a good opportunity, he tells Ingrid to stay in Marseilles as he travels to Africa alone.
Solveig and Rene finally arrive in Marseilles, and thinking this is a lucky chance, Peer foists Ingrid off on Rene, telling them he intends to go to Africa with his new lover, Anitra.
Betrayed and abandoned, Ingrid kills her by jumping from a hotel window.
Peer, who has crushed so many hearts, arrives in Africa, where he learns he has been tricked by the trader. He flies into a rage and erupts into violence, which gets him thrown into jail for half a year.
While there, Peer finds himself longing once more for the beauty of his home country, and wonders if he can return to Solveig.....
- Final performance for Kisaragi Miwako, Wakatake Naomi, Nagi Miharu, and Namiji Chihiro. Also possibly the final performance for Tamashiro Akemi, Noji Kikumi, Mio Marina, and Akatsuki Rumi.
