seito-seki (生徒席): literally, "student seat"
Each Takarasienne in a troupe has a small-to-moderate number of seats in the audience assigned to them, which they are allowed to offer to family, friends and/or fan club members. (The exact number of seats is unknown by the editors of this site, but assumed to have some correlation with the star's ken and/or rank within the troupe). The seats are usually S or SS, and recipients of the tickets are expected to pay for them accordingly.
