WARNING!! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!
A show to remember the founder of Takarazuka Revue, Kobayashi Ichizou, on the 50th anniversary of his death.
Act I
Part One: Archival footage of a speech by Kobayashi-sensei.
Part Two: A long, lovely traditional dance, featuring solos by Kasugano Yachiyo and Matsumoto Yuri, and participation from all the top stars and Senka members present that night. In the final part, the stage was simply full of Takarasiennes in kimono, on several levels, centered around Matsumoto Yuri.
Part Three: Nihonmono play written and first staged by Kobayashi Ichizo starring Todoroki Yuu as Endo Morita, Aran Kei as Watanabe Wataru, and Otozuki Kei as Kesa-gozen (lead female role), including two solos by Yashiro Kou.
The play is about samurai wife, who lived in the Heian era, Kesa-gozen. She was the victim of a stalker, Endo Musha Morito. She rejected his advances, but became afraid he would harm her husband. To prevent this, she urged Endo to murder her husband on a certain night, then cut off her hair and took his place in the darkened bedroom. Endo carried out the assignment, only to discover he had murdered the object of his obsession.
