• Her sister was Kadono Maroya (16th Class).
• Her brother was Uchiyama Shinai, a director of the Revue.

• In her final years and after retirement, she was a dormitory dean for the TMS dorms. There are anecdotes of her calming terrified students during WWII air-raids while keeping an eye out the windows.
